Synopsis

Long has John Carter waited for the revolving door of the devious Temple of the Sun to open, not knowing whether his beloved Dejah Thoris lives or has perished upon the other side. But before the door can open, the princess is spirited away by a conspiracy of her husband’s deadliest enemies. The trail leads from the steaming swamps of Kaol and Ptarth to the frigid Carrion Caves lying beyond the ice barrier that fringes the far north. There, in the domed cities of the Yellow Men, John Carter must confront the cruel Jeddak of Okar and solve the mystery of why no outsider has ever returned from the tyrant’s kingdom—or he and Dejah Thoris will meet the same deadly fate themselves.
